How to Get Started
Step 1
Fill out the Academic Affairz Project Pilot Sign Up form at the bottom of this page. Once we recieve your information we will list your schools student managed website in our 'Student Website Directory'
Step 2
If you don't have a website yet and would like Urban Affairz to build your student website for you to easily manage; visit our Web Design link under our Primary Services in the Urban Affairz menu to the right side of your screen. Fill out the form accordingly and one of our web design professtionals will contact you within 24hrs. Please take the time to review our packages to pick the best one for you. We build websites for schools, classrooms, and educational programs.
Step 3
That's all to it. Now Urban Affairz will regularly visit your student managed website and highlight your school with other participating schools in our national Academic Affairz E-zine.

Steps for Implementation
STEP 1.
How Can Your School/Organization Use The Academic Affairz Project?
- Elective- new technology course or combine with current technology based course
- After School Program- manage and operate school internet publication after school
- Business or organization direct marketing tool
STEP 2.
Establish a Controlling Body
- Student Body Government
- Students in the Classroom
- Student Group or Organization

STEP 3.
Establish Resources

STEP 4.
Schedule Focus Groups-have a representative from Urban Affairz visit your school/organization to go over general information.

Establish Publishing Schedule

Operations
Elect a student/organization advocate
Role of Student/Organization Advocate
Qualified person(s) will be responsible in co-operation with the school; to work with the students in accomplishing publishing deadlines. Duties are to include, but not limited to:
- Act as liason between students and administrators in accordance with the mission of the Academic Affairz Project
- Organize and monitor Publishing Kit submissions
- Educate users of Publishing Kit functions and resources
- See to it that users meet their publishing deadlines
- Keep Publishing Kit educational, interactive, and fun
Suggested Operations
Incorporate Student Government
The Academic Affairz Project presents the opportunity for the Student Govenment to engage the rest of the students in academic affairz throughout the school. This program can be used to educate students on real life issues such as voting and practice communication skills and team work with a hands on approach.
